What's new
Restore from recent backup points
Works for Drive and Jade backups. Not for device-only storage.
Preview before confirming:
- Bank accounts, customers, products, fixed assets that would reappear.
- Sales or bills since that point that would be lost.
Two backup options
Storage choices: this device only, Google Drive, Jade.
Jade is the default.
Google Drive is the other option.
Both now support restore points. The two differ in privacy — details in the privacy policy.
Also in this update
- Bank accounts can now be archived or deleted. Archiving keeps history and is reversible. Deletion requires the account never having been used.
- Capital entries can now be deleted. The accounting reverses cleanly.
- Jade now shows a notice when auto-update fails.
- Stock taken for personal use now posts as an owner's drawing.
How to use restore points
- 1 Jade → Menu → Backup.
- 2 Select restore from an earlier point.
- 3 Pick a backup. Review the preview.
- 4 Confirm.
Notes
Versions. Jade is now v1.3.97.
How far back you can go. Determined by backup frequency. Check Menu → Backup for details.
If Jade looks out of date. Open Menu and tap "Not seeing the latest version? Tap to refresh" near the bottom. Still stuck? Hard-refresh your browser — Ctrl+Shift+R (Windows/Linux) or Cmd+Shift+R (Mac) — or on phone, close the tab or app fully and reopen it. This happens because Jade runs offline-first: your browser keeps a local copy so it still works without a signal, and that copy can lag a version behind right after we ship something new.
Existing businesses: Menu → Backup.
New businesses: start Jade, or read what Jade does.
